New plasma line DSP installed at ESR

A new plasma line DSP is now installed as of 29 march 2011. The new DSP is the same type used at ESR and other EISCAT sites for ion line measurements (AD converter running at 15 MHz).

Plasma line experiment at ESR made by HQ staff has been converted to use the new system. SP made by other users needs to be updated/converted. What you need to do:

Change nco files and setfrequency commands to use a 2:nd LO frequency of 81.25 MHz for plasma line channel (last IF center frequency is 11.25 MHz as on the ion line channel) Use new filters for the plasma line channels for example if you use now w800d4.fir use instead b800d6.fir filter as the AD speed is now 15 MHz.

Recompile tlan files containing plasma line commands.

Have a look at the /kst/exp/ipy/ipy.elan on the main server at ESR. A variable new_p_ad is used to select if new or old plasma line DSP is used.
